Who We Are

We believe the best care happens when clinicians aren't buried in paperwork. We built FireNote because patients at the end of life deserve a care team that's fully present, and care teams deserve software that gets out of their way.

Hospice is one of the most human things we do as a society. The people who show up for it every day, visit after visit, family after family, deserve tools that honor the weight of that work. Not software that adds to it. That's what drives us. That's why FireNote exists.

  • Built by hospice professionals

  • Clinician-first by design

  • Purpose-built for end-of-life care

Who we help

Give clinicians their time back.

FireNote uses RapidChart® and Informed Intelligence™ to turn clinician-directed input into complete, patient-specific narratives in minutes, not hours. Care Plans are managed directly in the encounter, HOPE workflows are built for nursing reality, and prescribing routes to the pharmacy after signature. No duplicate charting. No bouncing between modules. Just one consistent workflow that keeps clinicians focused on care.

- 70% average reduction in charting time

- Care Plans, Orders, and Prescribing stay connected

- HOPE documentation and reporting timelines supported

Operational control without slowing your teams down.

FireNote helps administrative teams manage intake, scheduling, reporting, and proactive alerts so clinical operations stay on track and billing doesn't get blocked. A centralized intake workflow reduces handoffs and prevents missing steps that delay admissions. Alert dashboards surface issues throughout the month not just at billing crunch time, and scheduling tools ensure visits are completed according to ordered frequencies.

- Simplified patient intake and referral management in one place

- Scheduling tools for accountability and visit completion

- Reporting for clinical operations, financial positioning, and HOPE adherence

Built to scale with your organization.

For multi-location and enterprise hospice organizations, FireNote delivers the consistency, visibility, and control you need across your entire operation. Standardized workflows reduce variability between teams and locations, while organization-level reporting gives leadership a consolidated view of clinical, operational, and financial performance, without needing to pull from multiple systems. FireNote grows with you, whether you're managing two locations or a hundred.

- Organization-level controls and standardized workflows

- Consolidated reporting across locations

- Scalable infrastructure with SOC 2 compliance and CHAP-verified EMR

Stay survey-ready, every day.

FireNote gives compliance teams real-time visibility into documentation quality, HOPE validation, QAPI management, supervisory visits, and audit readiness. Note Review lets compliance and QA teams review encounters in real time, provide feedback, and guide corrections before documentation becomes a permanent risk. QAPI events are managed in one centralized location with a single source of truth for tracking, follow-up, and action planning. When an audit arrives, FireNote can export patient documentation in chronological order for a specified date range.

- Note Review for in-progress and completed documentation

- Real-time HOPE validation and proactive compliance reporting

- Audit tools that surface ADR gaps before they become emergencies

Remove complexity from your Revenue Cycle.

FireNote supports month-end close, payer management, claim creation, and granular financial reporting with intuitive settings built for hospice billing. Configure claim logic by payer and claim type, manage GL mapping that aligns with your accounting system, and export raw data for deeper analysis. Better alignment between clinical documentation and billing means fewer claim delays and less end-of-month scrambling.

- Simplified month-end close with hospice-specific finance settings

- Flexible R&B claim creation workflows for multiple payer types

- Granular reporting with raw data exports

Everything you need to launch and grow.

Starting a hospice is hard enough without fragmented systems. FireNote was built from day one as a hospice-first platform, which means new organizations can get up and running quickly, with workflows designed around how hospice actually works, not adapted from generic healthcare templates. From intake to compliance to billing, FireNote covers the full operational picture so your team can focus on building a culture of care, not navigating a learning curve.

- Fast implementation with workflows built for hospice from the ground up

- Full platform coverage: clinical, operations, compliance, and billing

- A partner that understands where you're starting and where you're headed

The FireNote Story

FireNote was founded in 2018 to solve a problem clinicians knew all too well: healthcare technology that made care harder instead of easier. Based in Eagle, Idaho, the team built FireNote as a hospice-first EMR designed to dramatically reduce documentation time, simplify workflows, and support compliance without pulling clinicians away from patients. FireNote was created from firsthand frustration with legacy systems that slowed care and buried insight. Rather than making incremental fixes, the goal was to rethink documentation entirely: building an intuitive, efficient platform tailored specifically for hospice, palliative, and home-based care teams.
What began as shared conversations among experienced clinicians, designers, and technology professionals quickly turned into a commitment to build something better. The founding team aligned around a single idea: if documentation could work the way clinicians think, patient care would improve naturally. Each founder brought deep, complementary expertise, clinical leadership, product design, engineering, and operational strategy. Through close collaboration with hospice teams and constant iteration, FireNote grew into a trusted platform used nationwide, grounded in one belief: technology should give time back to care, not take it away.
