The FireNote Story

FireNote was founded in 2018 to solve a problem clinicians knew all too well: healthcare technology that made care harder instead of easier. Based in Eagle, Idaho, the team built FireNote as a hospice-first EMR designed to dramatically reduce documentation time, simplify workflows, and support compliance without pulling clinicians away from patients.

FireNote was created from firsthand frustration with legacy systems that slowed care and buried insight. Rather than making incremental fixes, the goal was to rethink documentation entirely: building an intuitive, efficient platform tailored specifically for hospice, palliative, and home-based care teams.

What began as shared conversations among experienced clinicians, designers, and technology professionals quickly turned into a commitment to build something better. The founding team aligned around a single idea: if documentation could work the way clinicians think, patient care would improve naturally.

Each founder brought deep, complementary expertise, clinical leadership, product design, engineering, and operational strategy. Through close collaboration with hospice teams and constant iteration, FireNote grew into a trusted platform used nationwide, grounded in one belief: technology should give time back to care, not take it away.
